I strongly recommend backing up your save to the PS cloud or a USB drive every 4-5 hours it's a long game!.It usually works on sending them to the location, but only about half of the time will they come back to their starting location (where you hired them). While this game does allow you to hire workers to sell your goods at drop-off locations (which is an awesome improvement from previous versions), it is quite buggy.
The only manual save is to select QUIT from the game menu. There is an auto-save that occurs roughly every 5 minutes. The closest substitute is to exit to the main menu (which actually is pretty quick). Keep this in mind so you do not cause crops to wither because you left a menu open. Even when you have menus open, the game continues in the background. There is no "pause" concept in this game. There are 3 difficulty levels but all trophies can be learned on "Beginner".There is no time scaling so the game always progresses at the same rate. There is no cruise control as there are with other versions of this game.
Here are some notable items for this game: There really is no viable shortcut to cut down on playtime. The 32 hours is the minimum time anyone could do it legit which means most people will take longer than that. This is a very laid back, slow-paced game and there could be a broad spectrum of how long it takes the average person to attain the platinum trophy. There is no multiplayer capability for the PS Vita version of this game. The 2016 version includes tree forestry and animal husbandry.
This version is very similar to Farming Simulator 2015, except it has been geared towards handheld devices such as PS Vita and the entire mobile device market. This game is a fourth iteration of the Farming Simulator for 2016.
I'd welcome suggestions for Windows phone games which simulate the driving and operations aspects of the vehicles without worrying too much about money, crops, and markets! Which seems reasonable, though note that there are in-app-purchases as well.
There's a free trial and then it's £2.50 or so to buy. Now, while hard core farming nuts might appreciate all this, the amount of work needed is akin to being a real farmer, except here you don't get the fresh air or to have a collie keeping you company all day. And the sheer drudgery of making sure that everything happens in the right order. The core here is the business of farming, the logistics and pricing, the trading and selling. The problem with Farming Simulator 16 is that the meat of the game isn't in the fun stuff, like driving machinery, hooking up power tools, although this is present to some degree, at least in an external none-too-detailed view. Casual gaming this ain't!īack in the field, this time with a hired 'worker' to do my driving for me while I sit back with a cup of tea.! This one help screen alone should give you an idea of the core gameplay AND the core workload. There are plenty of help screens to guide you through the interface and what to do next, thankfully.
Purchases inside the game let you trade up to the very latest modelled machinery.īut ultimately Farming Simulator 16 comes down to watching prices, growing and reaping the right things at the right times, and that's a bit. You can cycle through which vehicle is being driven using the buttons bottom left. The highlighted spanner control indicates that my 'tool' is attached.īack at the farmyard, with a tractor and trailer. I'm steering by tilting the phone and the throttle is on the right, etc. Still, in the meantime here are some screenshots from my limited progress in Farming Simulator 16:īeautiful cut-scenes, shared across the other platform versions of the title, no doubt. It's all pretty comprehensive, which brings me to a bit of a rant below. The game features massive tractors and other machines from over 20 brands of agricultural manufacturers, including New Holland, Case IH, Ponsse, Lamborghini, Horsch, Krone, Amazone, MAN and more.
Take direct control of harvesters and tractors, or hire AI helps and manage your growing farm from the full screen management map.Īs the newest in the series of Farming Simulator games, this game has the best of agriculture simulation. Plant, grow, harvest, and sell five different crops, raise cows and sheep, and sell timber at your own pace.
